Adventure-Based Community Building for New On-campus Undergrad Students
Base Camp is an immersive program designed to help you create meaningful connections with your peers and build a strong foundation for your college experience. Whether you're skiing in March or canoeing in September, over the course of three-to-four days you'll:
- Embark on an unforgettable & fun journey that will challenge you both physically and mentally
- Have the opportunity to push yourself outside of your comfort zone in a supportive environment
- Experience the beauty of nature in a new way
- Form lasting friendships and treasured memories
Base Camp in the Fall: Canoeing, Camping & Caving
Arriving on campus in the fall? You and your new classmates will be exploring the Current River together, with its many springs, crystal-clear water, and towering bluffs. Passing through Missouri's Ozark Mountains, this is one of the most scenic canoe trips in the nation.

Base Camp in the Spring: Skiing, Sledding & Ice Skating
Enrolling in our spring semester? A short bus ride will take you to Sundown Mountain Resort in Dubuque, Iowa. Between days spent playing in the snow and ice skating, you'll spend cozy evenings by the fire at Camp Little Cloud.
