Register:Oct 31-Nov 2Apr 3-5
The fee is $55, which includes meals, lodging (single rooms with bath), and round-trip shuttle transportation from local airports and train and bus stations. Travel reimbursements are available.
MIU’s webinars feature interactive presentations exploring the unique knowledge and culture of MIU. Each includes a lively Q&A.
PLEASE NOTE: Shuttle service is unavailable if your arrival time to the airport/station is after 8:00 PM. If you arrive after 8:00 PM and still want shuttle service to campus, you must spend the night at a hotel near the airport/station, and the shuttle will pick you up the following day. With regard to your departure, our shuttles do not depart the campus before 8:00 AM. If your only departure option is too early, we can drop you off at a hotel near the airport/station the night before, or you may opt to spend an additional night at the MIU Guest & Conference Center ($60 per night, depending on availability) and take you to the airport/station the following day.
Instead of taking the shuttle, you may find it more convenient to rent a car or arrange for a private driver to bring you to campus. A list of private drivers is available upon request.
The best airports to consider are Cedar Rapids (CID – 1 ½ hours from campus) and Des Moines (DSM – 2 hours from campus). You could also consider Moline (MLI – 2 hours from campus). The nearest Amtrak stations are in Mt. Pleasant and Ottumwa (1/2 hour from campus each) and Fort Madison (1 hour from campus). Greyhound offers bus service to Fairfield.
For any additional information, please contact our transportation department directly at: transportation@miu.edu.
