Or, if you can’t come in person, visit us virtually
(Thursday afternoon through Saturday after lunch)
The fee is $55, which includes meals, lodging (single rooms with bath), and round-trip shuttle transportation from local airports and train and bus stations. Travel reimbursements are available.
MIU’s webinars feature interactive presentations exploring the unique knowledge and culture of MIU. Each includes a lively Q&A.

If you’re planning to travel to Fairfield by plane, train, or bus, a free shuttle is available to pick you up at the airport/station, and bring you back when the event is over. However, please speak to our Visitor Events Transportation Coordinator, Ismail Erdem, before finalizing your travel arrangements. He can be reached at 641-233-8458 or transportation@miu.edu.
The best airports to consider are Des Moines (DSM) and Cedar Rapids (CID). The Moline (MLI) and Burlington (BRL) airports could also be considered. The nearest Amtrak stations are in Mt. Pleasant and Ottumwa. Greyhound offers bus service to Fairfield.
If you prefer to arrange your own transportation to and from campus, a list of private drivers is available on request.

For Visitors Saturdays there is no fee. For Visitors Weekends, the registration fee is $55, which partially covers our costs for the following:

When are Visitors Saturdays and Visitors Weekends held?
Can I bring young children?
Yes, but the schedule of events is very full, and not all events are suitable for young children. It’s best to register someone to come with you to look after your child. Also, if you are staying at the MIU Guest & Conference center, please be aware that quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please inform us if you are bringing young children with you.
Can I learn TM during my visit?
If you’re coming to a Visitors Weekend, then you can learn the TM technique if you arrive two days prior to the start of the Visitors Weekend. (This option is not available to Visitors Saturday participants.)
