Mathematics and Consciousness

This is an online, self-paced course which can be viewed at your convenience. This 14-lesson course contains over 28 hours of videos. Videos will be available to view at your convenience for one year.

Course Leader: Tony Nader, MD, PhD with discussions led by Cathy Gorini, PhD

Course Fee: $95 or $65 Discounted Course Fee for full-time students, full-time TM organization staff, and low-income retirees.


Course Description

This course consists of a 14-lesson course taught by Tony Nader, MD, PhD, in which he unfolds the details of his 65-page paper “Consciousness Is All There Is: A Mathematical Approach with Applications” which was inspired by Maharishi. This paper was published in the Journal of Mathematics and Consciousness and is breaking new ground in mathematics. Dr. Nader discusses how heretofore unsolved problems can be resolved with this new paradigm.

Each lesson includes a 45-minute video by Dr. Tony Nader with questions and answers and discussion led by Professor Cathy Gorini.

There are also six workshop classes which were held by Dr. Gorini which you can view and have an opportunity to do activities that Dr. Nader developed for this course.

No previous courses in mathematics are required to take this course.

Dr. Tony Nader

Dr. Nader is an MIT- and Harvard-trained neuroscientist and one of the world’s great Vedic scholars. He serves as International Director of the worldwide Transcendental Meditation® organization and oversees the global administration of the nonprofit TM® organization in over one hundred countries. Cathy Gorini

Cathy Gorini, PhD

Professor Cathy Gorini is the Dean of Faculty at Maharishi International University, and Professor of Mathematics. She received her BA in Mathematics at Cornell University and her MS and PhD in Mathematics at the University of Virginia. Professor Gorini received an Award for Outstanding College Teaching from the Mathematical Association of America in 2001. Videos are available to view for at least one year after signing up.
