Cost & Aid
International MBA in Accounting for Professionals, 2020-21
Typical cost and aid for 8 months of full-time academic on-campus study, followed by up to 2 years of credit-bearing, full-time accounting internships with companies in the USA (Curricular Practical Training, CPT). Program costs are typically covered by an initial payment ($3,500, $5,000 or $7,500) and then a loan for the remaining tuition. The amount of the initial payment will vary according to the qualifications and experience of the applicant. The lowest initial payment ($3,500) would be accorded to those applicants with professional credentials (ACCA, CPA) and years of professional experience. An example is the table below showing the financial aid available to a student whose initial payment is $7,500:
|Cost of Attendance and Typical Financial Aid|
|Tuition and fees||$14,871|
|Health Insurance (estimate)||$2,784|
|Housing (on campus, single room) and meals||$7,400|
|Your Financial Aid||-$17,555|
|Personal expenses, books, unexpected needs (estimate)||$2,000|
- In order to be issued an I-20 form, applicants need to verify funds for the initial payment ($7,500) and personal expenses ($2,000).
- Additional living expenses may be incurred while seeking your CPT position.
- Students who pay the total program cost within 6 months of their entry date will receive a $1,000 tuition reduction.
- Total program cost does not include the cost of instruction in the Transcendental Meditation technique ($190) for those who take this instruction at MIU.
