I connected with Jim Bagnola in late February, 2015, while he was at the hospital with his father, who’d had a procedure that morning. His father, Jim said, “is a strong old guy.” Both of Jim’s parents are 88 and both have been meditating for almost 40 years.
MIU alumna Rohini Grace was born in India and grew up in Australia and Fairfield, Iowa. It wasn’t until she graduated from MIU that she returned to India and became so enchanted with her country of birth that she stayed for the next four years.
Sascha Kyssa is a MIU graduate and all-around agriculture and horticulture powerhouse. Sascha is now holding seed starting workshops that are open to the public. The first workshop was held February 18th, 2015. It covered topics such as seed germination techniques, how to transplant sprouts, ideal soil mixes, types of soil, and most importantly, how to grow sustainably.
Theresa Golden was at MIU for 18 months, in 2009-2010, and graduated with a BA in Media and Communications.
Just one year after graduating with an MBA in Accounting degree from Maharishi International University, Ganesh Baniya landed a top position at the Washington Post as Manager of Financial Accounting.
Viola Witt holds a master’s degree in civil engineering and environmental technology from Hamburg University of Technology, in her hometown in Germany. After graduating, she found the perfect job: she designed the foundation structures of offshore wind turbines, which combined her interests in engineering and sustainability. But in 2013, her desire for personal growth brought her to MIU.
