Meals at MIU
Annapurna meals are buffet style, made fresh daily, vegetarian and all organic. Meals include entrees, salad bar (lunches only), drinks, and desserts.

Single meal cards or 5-meal cards or 10-meal cards for Annapurna can be purchased at Vishwa Shanti Cafe in the Argiro Student Center for $14/meal.
Meal hours:
- Breakfast: 8:30 am – 10 pm (Mon. – Sat.)
- Lunch: 11:45 am – 1:30 pm (Mon.- Sat.) 11:00 am – 1:30 pm (Sun.)
- Dinner: 6:00 – 7:45 pm daily

Tips for Purchasing Meal Cards for Annapurna Dining Hall
- Purchase at Vishwa Shanti Cafe (VSC), Hours: 9 am – 7 pm daily, Location: Argiro Student Center first floor $14/meal.
- These are generic meal cards and not recorded or associated with your name. If you lose your meal card there is no way to refund it.
- All meal cards will expire four months after their purchase date. And since there are no refunds for unused meals, you might want to purchase smaller quantities at a time.
- If you arrive after 7 pm and the cafe is closed, you can purchase a meal at the door for $14 cash.
- If you have any issue with your meal card, please check with the VSC or email onecard@miu.edu. And please return your card to the Annapurna Door Checker after using its last allocated meal.
Housing: On-Campus
MIU Guest & Conference Center (GCC)
MIU Guest & Conference Center Room
We have some rooms available in the GCC for this WPA. All rooms have a queen-sized bed and a private bathroom. Please note that couples can share a room for the price of one person.
- Single occupancy (or double occupancy): $100/night ($50/per person double occupancy)
- Special Rate for Full-Time Governors: single occupancy or double occupancy: $70/night ($35/per person double occupancy)
These rooms are a 10-minute walk to the domes and a 20-minute walk to the Annapurna Dining Hall.
The MIU Guest and Conference Center is located in Building R41 as seen on the campus map. And it includes amenities normally available in hotels.

MIU Dorm Room
Dorm rooms with shared bathrooms are available. These are spacious rooms in the frat buildings (Buildings R23 and R24 as seen on the campus map) which are a 5-10-minute walk to the domes and a 15-20-minute walk to the Annapurna Dining Hall.
- Dorm rooms, single occupancy in campus frats w/shared bath: $50/night
- Dorm rooms, double occupancy in campus frats w/shared bath: $80/night (which is $40/night for each person)
- Special Rate for Full-Time Governors: Dorm rooms, single occupancy in campus frats w/shared bath: $30/night
- Special Rate for Full-Time Governors: Dorm rooms, double occupancy in campus frats w/shared bath: $60/night
These housing prices are only available for course participants, so please sign up for the course first.
Maharishi Peace Palaces
Fifteen rooms are available in the Maharishi Peace Palaces. All rooms have queen-sized beds and private bathrooms. A free laundry facility and full kitchen, including purified water, is available for guests. These buildings are ideally situated across the street from the Annapurna Dining Hall/Dalby Hall and a 10-minute walk to the domes.

Prairie Village North Campus has private suites with shared kitchen/living areas or private 2-bedroom cottages available at special short-term rates for courses. Enjoy the sublime, peaceful atmosphere where the Maharishi Vedic Pandits performed their Vedic recitations for years. Comfortable men’s and ladies’ program halls are a short walk from your room—or just a 10-minute drive to the Domes.
