Angela Kristine Seng is one of the department of Physiology and Health’s star students here at MIU. The last time we spoke with Monica was back in August. The on-campus composting project she launched began with 10% of the dining hall waste, and quickly shot up to 45%. Since then, she has been focusing on ways to get that number to 100%, including building an on-site storage shed and hiring more helping hands.

Pont Pont Htoo is from Myanmar, where she earned a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Computer Studies in Yangon. After graduating she taught computer science in a private computer school, then moved to Singapore where she earned a graduate diploma in system analysis from the Institute of System Science, National University of Singapore.

Sustainable MBA students Nick and Shuya met and fell in love at Maharishi International University. Shuya grew up in China and got her undergraduate degree in English studies. Wanting to put her new language skills to the test, she enrolled at MIU. MIU made its presence known at the International Intercollegiate Mediation Tournament held at the Drake University Law School November 13-14. 32 teams from 19 schools participated in the tournament. Last weekend (October 23rd and 24th) Maharishi International University (MIU) hosted our annual Peacemaker’s Intercollegiate Mock Mediation Tournament. This is the 6th year we have hosted a competition. Ten teams competed in three rounds after a training session on Friday afternoon. Schools competing were University of Dubuque, Lewis University from Illinois and Principia College from Illinois.
