MUM Receives USDA Grant to Fund Local Small Business Workshops and Seminars
We are proud to announce that MIU has just received a $46,500 USDA Rural Business Development Grant! We will be using this grant to offer seminars and workshops open to local small businesses.
The MIU College of Business is partnering with the Fairfield Economic Development Association, the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Pathfinders RC & D, the Fairfield CoLab, the Fairfield Entrepreneurs Association and SCORE to bring Jefferson County 15-one hour seminars and 20 four-part workshops from October 2017 through January 2018.
These seminars and workshops will cover important and relevant business topics and are completely free to local small businesses with less than 50 employees and less than $1 million in annual revenues.
Want to learn more? We are having an official launch party on Wednesday, October 18th at 6:00 PM at the Cambridge Room of the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center (FACC). The party includes presentations by Mayor Ed Malloy, FEDA, FEA, Co-Lab, Pathfinders, SCORE and our faculty. This event is open to the public.
