Students from faculty member Dinesh Gyawali’s Maharishi AyurVedaSM Wellness Consultant Practicum course recently appeared on KRUU-FM, Fairfield’s local radio station, to talk about their experiences as developing AyurVedic consultants.
On February 29th, 2016, Dr. Paul Morehead of MUM’s Department of Physiology and Health gave a lecture about how the Vedic Literature, or “Veda” relates to the human physiology.
Every semester, MIU’s department of Physiology and Health hosts a games day for its students. It’s an opportunity for new students, current students, faculty members and staff to come together to get to know each other better and bond over fun, games and some snacks.
MIU’s department of Physiology and Health held an ayurvedic cooking demonstration for its Maharishi AyurVeda Wellness Consultant track and Pre-Integrative Medicine students.
Rudy Richter is a professional tennis player from Guatemala with a world ranking of 1293. Although several US universities offered him scholarships to play Division I college tennis on their team, Rudy wasn’t inspired by the majors they offered and came to MIU instead.
Campus residents are now a bit healthier thanks to the health consultations offered by students in the undergraduate major in physiology and health.
