Tamlin Day: Creativity and Entrepreneurship

Tamlin Day came to MIU from Austin, Texas, where he worked as a nanny and preschool teacher for 14 years. Some of his friends practiced the Transcendental Meditation® technique, so Tamlin visited Fairfield from time to time. He enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of Fairfield, and after a visit to MIU he decided to apply. He learned TM in September 2013 and enrolled the following January.

In Fall 2014, the new batch of doctoral students embarked upon their research journey. In the first year of the program they dive deep into the MVS knowledge under the guidance of the professors. Krista Noble: Fantasy Writer and PhD Student

Krista Noble has always been an avid reader and began inventing her own stories as a young child. Her active imagination led her to begin writing her first fantasy novel at age 12. Since then she has written five. She and her sister were homeschooled on a farm in Maryland by their parents, who are both MIU alumni. The structure of homeschooling gave Krista independence to pursue her creative writing.

Students Party It Up in STC Class Celebration

STC, or Science and Technology of Consciousness, is a rite of passage for new Maharishi University of Managment undergraduates. The course details the basics of MIU founder Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s theories of consciousness and sets up a solid foundation for the Consciousness-Based curriculum to come.

This may all sound serious but, during the final class celebration, the students showed just how fun it can be.
