Big news for music and film students — we now have a sound studio on campus! Nestled in Verrill Hall, where our two film studios are located, the music studio is a welcome addition to campus, giving MIU students yet another dedicated space to create. Media & Communications instructor Cody Olivas gives us the details on the new studio and what it offers students.

Welcome to the MIU music blog! For my first entry I will be talking about Tara De Santis, a second year Media and Communications student at MIU.
Tara has been composing and singing since she was 15 years old, but as she explains, her passion really took off when she signed up for Digital Music Production class last year.

Every January and every August is a precious time for all of us here at Maharishi International University. During those months we have an influx of all-new students, whose presence helps make the quality of life on our campus all the more rich and exciting. We are always so thrilled to have these new faces around that we feel it’s worth celebrating!
Since premiering at “The Music of David Lynch” tribute concert in Los Angeles on April 1st, Kid Moxie’s music video, featuring Angelo Badalamenti’s remake of Mysteries of Love has become a much-anticipated addendum to the celebration.
