2015 Salutatorian Profile: Claire Potter

What brought you to MIU?

I came to Maharishi International University because of the amazing community.  I wanted to study amongst people who were actively developing themselves from the inside out.  I knew that if I wanted to uncover more of my potential, I needed to be in an environment where others were striving to do the same.

What was your experience getting your degree from MIU?

Stress free, fun, and transformative.  MIU completely defies the saying “no pain, no gain.”   I have learned so...

I completed my BA from Sarah Lawrence College in 1999, it had been a while since I was last enrolled in school, but now...

How are you liking the MA program?

The program had a successful first semester in my opinion, bringing great teachers who inspired and pushed us to our...

Where are you from and what brought you here to the David Lynch MA?

In November 2009, I journeyed from St. Louis, MO to Fairfield, IA to attend MIU’s annual David Lynch Visitors Weekend. On the first night of the event, my family and I wound up sitting in the front row next to David Lynch and Donovan (shown left). I was 18 years old at the time and was a huge fan of David Lynch, so getting to meet him was a thrill. At the time,...
