Systems Thinking: Sally Wilson’s Leveraging Tool for Social Change

On December 7th, 2015, Sally Wilson addressed a full classroom in the Sustainable Living building at Maharishi International University, where she will be teaching an Applied Systems Thinking class in February as an Adjunct Faculty member.

MUM Sustainable Living Exhibits at AASHE’s 2015 Conference

AASHE, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, hosted its 2015 conference in Minneapolis, MN, and we had the pleasure of being one of their exhibitors! Beginning on October 25 and running through to October 28th, this conference was all about different sustainability-minded organizations coming together to share their ideas, network, and have fun while doing it. Held in the prestigious Minneapolis Convention Center, it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime event, with its largest turnout ever of 2,200+ attendees!

Executive Director of Jim Carrey’s Better U Foundation Speaks to SL Class

John Jolliffe, the executive director of Jim Carrey’s Better U Foundation spoke to Dr. Thimmaiah’s organic agriculture class last week. He talked about how the Better U Foundation is helping farmers around the world learn how to better utilize the tools and skills they have to yield better results and be more sustainable. He also talked about creativity, particularly about a concept known as imaginative intelligence, which is a perspective that he has found to enhance one’s creative potential.
