Conner Carey (pictured center) graduated from MIU in the summer of 2015 with a major in English Literature with an emphasis in Creative Writing. Not long after, she became an intern – and, soon, employee! – at the wildly successful iPhone Life magazine. In this interview, Conner talks about how she succeeded in finding a job in her area and gives advice to those who haven’t yet graduated from MIU:

Tamlin Day came to MIU from Austin, Texas, where he worked as a nanny and preschool teacher for 14 years. Some of his friends practiced the Transcendental Meditation® technique, so Tamlin visited Fairfield from time to time. He enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of Fairfield, and after a visit to MIU he decided to apply. He learned TM in September 2013 and enrolled the following January.
In Fall 2014, the new batch of doctoral students embarked upon their research journey. In the first year of the program they dive deep into the MVS knowledge under the guidance of the professors. In the second year, the individual research begins. We’d like to present the PhD in Vedic Science program through the new students and their impressions of the program.
