Maharishi University MBAs finish in 99th percentile in global simulation

A team of MBA accounting students at Maharishi International University in Fairfield, IA recently finished in the highest possible 99th percentile in an online integrated decision-making simulation that involved 1,271 master’s-degree-level teams worldwide.

Members of the top-ranking Baldwin team reflect the international character of MIU’s student population: Ram Neupane (Nepal), Merveille Tiani (Cameroon), and Pondpat Tohsanguanpun (Thailand). Cited results for classroom Industry C94044 were confirmed by Daniel Maday, Client Relationship Consultant, at Capsim Management Simulations in Chicago, Illinois.

MUM Professors Win National Accounting Award

At the Annual Conference of IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) on June 20, 2017, MIU Accounting faculty members Andrew Bargerstock and Ye Shi were recognized as the 2017 IMA Lybrand Gold Medal Award winners for the Best Article published in the peer-reviewed Strategic Finance journal.  The article, “Are We Leaning Away from Standard Costing?: Reconciling Lean Accounting Theory and Practice,” was published in the June 2016 issue.
