Dr. Herriott Publishes Textbook on Sustainable Technologies

Management professor Scott Herriott published a textbook in December called Feasibility Analysis for Sustainable Technologies: An Engineering-Economic Perspective. Business Experts Press published the book as part of their Environmental and Social Sustainability for Business Advantage Collection, edited by Chris Laszlo, the well-known author of Embedded Sustainability.

Viola Witt: Bridging the Gap Between Managers and Engineers

Viola Witt holds a master’s degree in civil engineering and environmental technology from Hamburg University of Technology, in her hometown in Germany. After graduating, she found the perfect job: she designed the foundation structures of offshore wind turbines, which combined her interests in engineering and sustainability. But in 2013, her desire for personal growth brought her to MIU.

Krista Noble: Fantasy Writer and PhD Student

Krista Noble has always been an avid reader and began inventing her own stories as a young child. Her active imagination led her to begin writing her first fantasy novel at age 12. Since then she has written five. She and her sister were homeschooled on a farm in Maryland by their parents, who are both MIU alumni. The structure of homeschooling gave Krista independence to pursue her creative writing.
