Lijuan Cai is currently Director of China Programs at MIU. In the past decades, Ms. Cai was Director Asian Student Life. She has been involved in helping Chinese students when they arrive MIU or Maharishi School. A mother of two lovely sons who both graduated from Maharishi School as outstanding students, Ms. Cai acts like a welcoming mother for Chinese students when they enroll at either MIU or Maharishi School. She often hosts parents of Chinese students when they come to visit MIU or Maharishi School. She provides counsels and advices to students when they need help in their adjustment to a new life away from their home country. She also directed Chinese students to establish cultural clubs and helped to organize yearly Chinese New Year celebration events with performances participated by students of different cultural background.
While working at MIU, Ms. Cai teaches Science of Creative Intelligence courses and Transcendental Mediation techniques both at MIU and in China. She regularly helps Chinese students’ TM checking. She also supervises internship students’ study abroad programs each summer when students go to China for a month teaching English to primary school students. She helps translation of MIU promotional materials as well as translations for new students and their family when in need.
With the new MBA and Ph.D. programs in China started in 2018, Ms. Cai played a key role of teaching STC and TM to professional students in China. She also helps advising Chinese professional students, administering China program tuitions as well as curriculum design.
Ms. Cai received both her BS in computer science degree and MBA degree at MIU. She has close to 10 years working experiences in Silicon Valley, served as bookkeeper, accounting manager, financial controller in companies from start-ups to midsized high tech companies.
