Visitors Weekend

You’re invited!

We welcome all prospective students and their families to join us at one of our monthly Visitors Weekends.

The fee for the weekend is $55, which includes meals and lodging (single rooms with bath) and round-trip shuttle transportation from local airports, train and bus stations. Travel reimbursements are available (see FAQ).

What is a typical schedule of events?

Dinner with MIU students and Admissions staff – All organic and vegetarian!

MIU Social – Enjoy organic desserts, live music, and conversation with our campus community


“An introduction to Consciousness-Based Education” – presented by Dr. John Hagelin, President of MIU and world-renowned quantum physicist

Campus tour – See the principal buildings and residence halls

Lunch with current MIU students

An introduction to the Transcendental Meditation technique

Financial Aid to Attend MIU – Presented by our financial aid counselors

Faculty Presentations – Topics include Maharishi AyurVeda, the Sustainable Living Department programs, Art Department programs and designing an individualized major at MIU

Panel discussion with current students – What it’s like to study and live at MIU

Dinner with MIU students

Meet with local leaders, followed by Fairfield First Fridays – a celebration of creativity, culture, and community.


“Unfolding Creative Potential and Transforming Lives” – presented by Bob Roth, CEO of the David Lynch Foundation: Bringing the TM technique to school children and at-risk populations around the world

One-on-one counseling with admissions and/or financial aid counselors to design your plan

Lunch with MIU faculty – Learn all about the Academic Departments through in-depth conversation with MIU faculty members

Tour the Golden Domes – experience the transcendent vibe
