Jim Carrey at Commencement

Actor Jim Carrey, who presented the 2014 commencement address at MIU, ended an interview on The Ellen Degeneres Show by briefly talking about his visit to the University and showing a short segment from his address.

Afterwards, another half a million people viewed his commencement address on the YouTube Maharishi International University channel, bringing the total to 4.5 million. The number of views worldwide, including various segments that have been posted online, are estimated to total some 60 million.

Mr. Carrey spoke highly of the students at MIU, saying, “It was so incredibly sweet . . . to look out there and see all those amazing, intelligent, beautiful people coming into the world.”
