WPA Airport Transportation
The MIU Transportation Office is available to pick you up at the Cedar Rapids and Des Moines airports and take you back after the course. See dates and times below.
Please note: You will receive a confirmation email when you sign up, plus another email about one week before the course starts with any scheduling improvements which might be more ideal for your arrival/departure time, if more buses need to be added. We will also send you your driver’s name and phone number, just in case your flight is a little late. If you have any questions, please email ce@miu.edu
All fees are $80 each way for Des Moines (DSM) and $65 each way for Cedar Rapids (CID).

DES MOINES (DSM) — DES MOINES IOWA AIRPORT
PICK-UPS — Tuesday, December 30
We’ll pick you up outside the main baggage area — middle door exit.
Pick-up times
- 2:00 pm
- 9:00 pm
NOTE — If your inbound flight is delayed in the afternoon, please catch the evening bus.
DSM Returns — Tuesday, January 13
Leaving campus (Please note, we can leave later if no one has a morning flight.)
- 7:30 am
Cedar Rapids (CID) — Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids
PICK-UPS — Tuesday, December 30
We’ll pick you up at outside the baggage claim area, exit D.
Pick-up times:
- 6:30 pm
CID Returns — Tuesday, January 13
Leaving campus:
- 7:30 am
Individual Ride Requests
If the times for the buses do not work for you, you can book Individual Ride Requests (Minivan Pricing):
- Des Moines International Airport (DSM): $165 (Weekend and evening rate: $200)
- Eastern Iowa Airport (CID): $125 (Weekend and evening rate: $165)
- Southeast Iowa Regional Airport (BRL): $85
Buses might also be available on December 27 and January 12 or later on January 13 since that’s when the CIC will be starting and ending. They would be offered at the same rates as above. If you want more information, you can request an individual ride request and the Transportation Office will email you with the times and billing information.
