Join us for the first session of Docu Café, our new monthly webinar series on the art and practice of documentary filmmaking.

Artificial Intelligence is making a big impact on the film industry. In this session, we will explore:

  • How AI tools are boosting productivity in transcription, research, editing, and logistics The creative possibilities of video and image generation for documentary projects
  • Why human creativity and storytelling remain at the heart of documentary filmmaking
  • Key ethical questions: intellectual property, bias, and environmental impact

The session will be led by Stuart J. Tanner (BBC, Nat Geo, Amnesty International Award) and Amine Kouider (David Lynch Foundation, Playing for Change), program directors of MIU’s MFA in Documentary Filmmaking. Together, they’ll share practical insights on how AI is reshaping the documentary field and what it means for filmmakers today and in the future.
