MUM: An introduction for international students
"…learning is easy and effortless, so you feel good, you feel happy — you feel fulfilled, alive"

Cultural flag parade

Currently, half of the student body at MUM is from outside the United States, representing 88 countries. As an MUM student, you’ll attend classes and get to know an incredible variety of people while developing a greater, more informed global perspective.

Any MUM student may have friends from Nairobi, Ethiopia, Sweden, China, Pakistan, Nepal, Bulgaria, Turkey, Russia, Mexico, Colombia, Canada, Latvia, Mongolia, Nepal, India, and many other countries — plus, of course, California, New York, Florida, Hawaii, Washington, Texas, and all the U.S. states.

If you are from a country outside the U.S., there is a good chance you’ll meet students from your own country here, or often, someone who speaks your language. If you are from the United States, you have a great opportunity to meet and learn from other kinds of people.

At the same time, you and your fellow students all enjoy the benefits of Consciousness-Based education, helping you to discover that a great harmony exists among all peoples, and that you are not only learning with a diverse student body, but a positive, connected one, too.

Once you start experiencing the more universal aspect of your own consciousness through the Transcendental Meditation program, you will gain familiarity with the underlying harmony among all peoples. Then you’ll live and experience that harmony with your fellow students.

If you are coming to MUM from another country, you will find that your cultural values are honored, appreciated, and celebrated here. If you are from the U.S., you will feel at home with all the world.

MUM also has an office to support international students and extensive information to assist students in coming to the US. See more information for international students.
