David Fisher
David Fisher earned his MS and PhD in Botany from the University of Wisconsin. He is a Humboldt Fellow, University of Goettingen, Germany.
David conducted research and taught at the University of Hawaii and then launched the first US undergraduate degree program in Sustainable Living at MIU in 2003. C
He was Chair of the Sustainable Living Depart from 2003-16 and led the effort to design and construct MIU’s Schwartz-Guich Sustainable Living Center.
Dr. Fisher retired in 2016. He is currently Associate Professor Emeritus of Botany and the Sustainable & Regenerative Living undergraduate program advisor.
