Graduate Certificate in Business Administration

Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Conflict Resolution
Leaders must be expert in resolving the conflicts that naturally arise in any organization. Even better is the skill to avert conflicts before they arise.

In addition to the general requirements for a graduate certificate in business, students must complete three semesters and 15 credits consisting of:
- FOR 423 Leadership for Community Building (1–2 credits)
- MGT 5821 Leadership and Teamwork (2–4 credits)
- MGT 5830 Mediation and Negotiation (4 credits)
- MGT 5342 Human Resource Management (2–4 credits)
- MGT 5060 Advanced Topics in Conflict Resolution (4 credits)
And during each semester of enrollment
- MGT 598U University Internship (2 credits per semester)
Entrance Requirements for Graduate Certificate Programs
The entrance requirement for any graduate certificate in business is the completion of either a four-year bachelor’s degree or a three-year bachelor’s degree with at least 15 semester-hours of additional study and the equivalent of 15 semester-hours in work experience or permission of the Department Chair.
Certificate in Creative Entrepreneurship (undergraduate)
To receive a Certificate in Creative Entrepreneurship by the Concept to Market institute, students must complete 18 credits as
follows:
- STC 108 Science and Technology of Consciousness (6 credits)
- The CTMI undergraduate semester courses (12 credits) (for details see BA in Creative Entrepreneurship)
Certificate in Business Studies (undergraduate)
To receive a Certificate in Business Studies, students must complete 18 credits as
follows:
- STC 108 Science and Technology of Consciousness (6 credits)
- Any three 4-credit undergraduate MGT courses (12 credits)
Faculty Profile: Scott Herriott
Professor Herriott’s research interests include issues of cooperative strategy in business policy. Specific projects include studies of electric utility power pools, cooperative advertising, risk pooling, partial acquisitions, information channels in markets, and the implications of Maharishi Vedic Science for theories of motivation, job design, and management decisions.
