Visitors Weekend Travel Information

Transportation to and from MUM

The best airports to consider are Des Moines (DSM) and Cedar Rapids (CID). We recommend that, if possible, your inbound flight arrives before 1:00 PM on Thursday, and your outbound flight departs after 6:00 PM on Saturday. The Moline (MLI) and Burlington (BRL) airports could also be considered.

The nearest Amtrak stations are in Mt. Pleasant and Ottumwa. Greyhound offers bus service to Fairfield.

To request complimentary transportation from an airport, train or bus station, please fill out the MUM Transportation Request Form. We will also arrange transportation back to the airport, train or bus station when the weekend is over. Early in your stay, we will determine your specific departure time from campus and confirm it with you.

If you prefer to arrange your own transportation, a list of private drivers is available on request. In this case, please note that the GPS address to use is”1000 N 4th St. Fairfield, Iowa 52557″.
