One main specialization is Object Oriented software development using the most current tools and systems, including Java programming language.
In the Computer
Professionals Program, you start with full-time study in the Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) program.
Then you work for approximately two years at a U.S. technology
company in full-paying practical training employment. Your
practical training position in the computer science field
is practicum, and you will receive academic credit for it.
The
standard schedule is 7.5 months of full-time Master of Science in Computer Science study before
starting your practical training position. During the full-time
study portion of your master's degree program you will receive campus housing and meals as part
of your financial aid package.
You will also receive a stipend of $100 per month to pay for any other
personal expenses.
The
University has relationships with many of America's leading
technology companies, but you can apply to work in an IT position at any U.S.
company, and you can negotiate your
own salary with help from the University.
Your
salary will depend on your skills and experience, but first
year earnings are normally US$60,000–70,000. Our students
have received positions at more than 800
U.S. companies, including Microsoft, Google, IBM, Sun, Amazon.com, Oracle,
General Electric, Cisco, and Hewlett-Packard.
Upon
completing your on-campus studies, your remaining courses
are taken through part-time distance education on a flexible
schedule during evenings or weekends while working at your
new position.
Upon
successful completion of the Computer Professionals Program,
you will have earned an MSCS degree and gained valuable experience
