Bachelor of Fine Arts
Digital Media
The central focus of our digital media curriculum is portfolio development, augmented by the study of deep principles of creativity, the language of design, and inspired examples of their use in works by great artists.
Project-oriented study
Our block system, where students take one course at a time, supports project-oriented study and allows for both fine art and commerical orientation. Students can gain valuable experience in work internships for course credit with digital media or video production companies that have national and international clients.
High-performance computer laboratory
We have high-end Macintosh computers running industry-leading programs, such as Avid Xpress DV, Final Cut Express HD, Dreamweaver, Flash, QuarkXpress, FreeHand, and Photoshop running under Mac OS X, as well as sophisticated free software programs such as Cinelerra, Kino, Quanta Plus, Blender, Scribus, Inkscape, GIMP, and CinePaint running under GNU/Linux.
